On Tuesday, on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, the worship of Devshilpi Vishwakarma, 400 poor families of Aurangabad got the gift of a new house. On receiving the gift, the housewives, along with their families, took possession of the newly constructed houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. Before entering the new house, Aurangabad’s District Magistrate (DM) Shrikant Shastri handed over the symbolic key of the new house to the housewives. Along with this, while giving approval to 2600 beneficiaries to build a new house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, the amount of the first installment of the scheme was released in their bank accounts.

The DM said that against the target of 2677 in Aurangabad district, housing has been sanctioned to 2600 beneficiaries and the first installment amount has been sent to their bank accounts. He has provided the acceptance letter to the selected beneficiaries in the District Collectorate Auditorium. On this occasion, the District Magistrate said that under the public utility scheme of the government, all of you should ensure to build your house within 100 days.
During this, Deputy Development Commissioner Abhiyendra Mohan, Additional Collector Lalit Bhushan Ranjan, District Panchayat Raj Officer, Director of DRDA, Block Development Officer of Aurangabad, along with many officers, Block Housing Supervisor and Housing Assistant were present.
In this regard, in the light of departmental instructions, a griha pravesh ceremony was organized today for the ‘griha pravesh’ of the beneficiaries in about 487 newly constructed houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin in various blocks of the district. In this connection, Deputy Development Commissioner Abhendra Mohan participated in the griha pravesh program in Poiwan and Parsadih Panchayat of Aurangabad Sadar block and handed over the keys symbolically to the respective housewives. All the officers and workers were present on this occasion.
